PlCard reader does not read a MicroSD memory card

I have a card reader with full functional but I have a micro SD that cannot be identified. I have tried to use the internet card reader in the modem but it functions and does not work in the card reader. What could be the problem? is it possible that the card reader is faulty? How can one a certain that the reader is faulty and what repairs measures can I use?

Alternatively, download driver pack solution and run it, it will scan for missing drivers and install them. It will save you the hustle of browsing searching for the drivers which sometimes can be had to find.
