Pidgin exe – Entry Point Not Found

Hi experts,

I downloaded Pidgin version for Windows and when I open the installer this error message box appeared on my desktop. I downloaded from different servers and still the same error. After I read the error I looked for the DLL file that is missing and no result. This software works just fine on my friends PCs and I am the only one with problems. Please help me to install this properly and if is a problem with the installer please give a link for download.

Pidgin exe – Entry Point Not Found

Check again if the application works on Microsoft Windows 8. The DLL file is not actually missing but the procedure that the program should supposedly be calling is not found on the library file which sometimes happens on incorrect operating systems or if there is a required program that you forgot to install.

Try restarting your computer and run the program again then see if it works. If it doesn’t, try running it as administrator. Right-click on the program’s icon or shortcut and select Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check “Run this program as an administrator” and then click OK. Start the application again and see if it works.

Since you are using an old version, Pidgin 2.10.7, this version is obviously not designed to run on Microsoft Windows 8. Pidgin 2.10.7 doesn’t support operating systems higher than Microsoft Windows 7. To fix your problem, download the latest version, Pidgin 2.10.9 for Windows. This latest version includes support for Microsoft Windows 8 so there should be no problem running it on your computer.
