I have been in contact already with a Microsoft support professional on trying to resolve the error code 80071a30 problem and have carried out many tests and scans but with no success. Please advise me for the resolution of this.

This type of error usually comes when the automatic updates are having problem in your computer and they are not getting the regular updates.
There is also a possibility that you have not installed the latest .Net framework too and Microsoft visual C+++ redistribution package that are installed with the updates.
