Pentaho Data Integration Data Source Failed to preview the Query

Hello,

When I try to use data source of Pentaho Data Integration in Pentaho BI Suite 4.5 to have a preview of some query, an error message appears. And the message says that the query could not be previewed.

Could some expert advice what I shall do to fix this error? Any solutions are welcome. Thank you very much.

Hi there Megan H Madison,

The problem you're facing is a well known bug caused by badly written drivers. The problem is that the original ODBC driver doesn't work well with the JDBC-ODBC bridge.

In order to make things work you will need to look for some commercial drivers that will allow you to access the database.
