Screen freezing can be very frustrating especially when you are doing some projects and cannot save them after spending too much time creating them. There are a lot of reasons why a screen may freeze. One is if the memory of your system is not enough to run multiple programs at the same time, which is really annoying especially if you need those programs open to finish something or to meet a deadline. However, if your RAM is not enough, then you will have to upgrade it to be able to run multiple programs at the same time without having the trouble of getting screen freezing issue. Before you decide to get an additional RAM though, you might want to try the following first to see if they will help you solve your issue:

  1. Do a regular PC Maintenance. Check your system and clean your registry.
  2. Scan your system to remove any viruses or malwares that may be affecting your computer’s performance.
  3. Defrag your system at a regular basis. At least once or twice a month.
  4. Reset your browsers.
  5. Delete browsing history.
  6. Clear the cache.

Your browsers may slow and frozen for various reasons. For faster running of programs requires a good amount of RAM memory or virtual memory. Your computer might have enough RAM or virtual memory but you have told that you run many browsers at a time. Can you imagine all the browser use up the virtual memory.

So,please try to run least program at a time and again uninstall some programs that are not important.

There is another reason that extensions are used by browsers that cause  slow loading of the pages and frozing. You can speed up your browsers and get solve from frozing by disabling the extensions. Extensions may be disabled on browsers simply by running it in safe mode.

Your computer may get slow or hanged for more files in C drives. So please do not store any files in C drives. Be careful do not delete program files from C drives. Then try to check your all files and folders and delete the unnecessary files. Scan your computer and delete the virus attacked files or program. All this action may help you without adding additional RAM. And again if you have not reinstalled your operating system for long time then please reinstall it.

If what you mean by “multi browsers” is that you use multiple browsers simultaneously when working, I don’t think that’s necessary. If you need to open several websites, you don’t need to open multiple browsers to access those websites. Modern browsers today support tabbed browsing. This way, you can access more than one website on the same web browser.

To access or visit a different website, on your browser, press CTRL + T to open a new tab. On the new tab, enter the URL of the website you wish to visit in the address bar and hit Enter. You can open as many tab as you want. The browser doesn’t limit this.

But since a new tab means another load to the memory, the only limitation would be is your computer’s memory. Avoid opening multiple browsers because it consumes more memory than opening a new tab. That’s probably the reason why your computer freezes. Latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and the Opera browser support tabbed browsing.
