Before you start the upgrade make ensure certain things.
- Good internet connection
- Good data capacity on your hard drive
- Blank DVD/USB drive for media installation.
If you are installing the operating system for the first time,
- Get a Windows 8 official product key. It is 16 digit key.
- Meet all the system requirements specified for Windows 8
Installation
- Using the Media Creation Tool for Windows 8, burn down your DVD/USB drive.
- Then install the Microsoft Windows 8 CD on your computer.
- Insert your CD key and proceed with the installation
