You can start from Adobe's official tutorials manual which are prepared by their community experts.

Watch Adobe TV's video tutorials for beginners to earn Photoshop CS 4. Watch VTC's basic free tutorials.

Photoshop Cafe, another great source to learn Photoshop Lightroom 4. Learn Photoshop basics and the use of various tools from Graphics Soft.
