The recent issue I faced with my new One Plus 7 Pro was a sudden shut down of the device. This came after a seamless usage of 4 days. The device would not switch on by the conventional method, long-press the power button. It began with the freezing of Whatsapp on the device.

One Plus 7 Pro Was A Sudden Shut Down Of The Device

This was a highly unexpected problem since the device was completely new. Since the device was new, it minimized the chances of an H/W malfunction. With some knowledge of technology and based on previous experiences, there are a couple of methods that can help.

1. The device can be plugged on to the electric power, that is, the charger. This will at once, turn the device on without any buttons pressed.
2. If the first method does not work, there is another method that you can try. Long press the Power button and the Volume Up key at the same time.

The first method, in this case, was ineffective. However, the second method did the trick.

This issue was not seen again in the device.

Recommendations:

Use the original One Plus 7 Pro charger and keep the phone up-to-date with the app and software update.
