Norton Ghost error – Install has detected a newer version technology

Hi,

I was installing Norton Ghost 15 when suddenly I got this error message, see below. 

I tried uninstalling via the Control Panel and retried installing, but the same error message appeared. 

I doubted that my installer was defective since it was fairly new.  Any advice on what to do next to resolve the problem? 

Please help.

Norton Ghost – InstallShield Wizard

Install has detected a newer version technology. To install Norton ghost, Norton ghost 15.0.0.35659 must first be removed through Add/Remove programs.

Norton Ghost error – Install has detected a newer version technology

Hi Bryan,

That might be, you have an existing Norton Ghost Program in your Computer. The solution is to remove this program. This are the steps:

1. Click Start

2.  Control Panel

3. Add and Remove Programs

4. Select Norton Ghost program and remove it on your computer.

5. Install Norton Ghost.

Now if the Norton Ghost is not available on your "ADD AND REMOVE PROGRAM". 

Try to download new Norton Ghost program or purchase it to your nearest computer sales and services in your area and install new application.

Norton Ghost error – Install has detected a newer version technology

Hi,

 

You just simply try to uninstall your application to your machine and then try to download the latest version or application from the net and then after you download the application from the net you just simply install to your machine the new downloaded application and then just simply restart your PC and the after you restarting the PC your just simply download the error repair tools then after you download the application you just simply install that to your machine and then scan the application after scanning the application just simply repair the found errors to your PC.
