Hello Everyone!

Whenever I go to command prompt to do a ping, I got the error which states that:

No Packet Driver Found Program halted.

Is there anything I can do with this to make it work? This is my first time to encounter this issue and I don't remember changing settings in my Vista PC.

Thanks.

Hi Sarah,

I can't say what changes have led to this error, but can surely how to resolve it. If you are interested in knowing more about this error you will have to take a look in the event viewer a check the error code and other details to know more about it.

Till then let me tell you the solution. The reason that these errors usually occur is that the network driver installed is not compatible for your computer or the DOS template you are using is not supporting the network card.

It is my recommendation that you check your PCI network adapter installed in your system by using NICSCAN utility. This is the link to download it:

I also recommend to check the Network card Manufacturer and driver to be used for it here.
