My Nikon Coolpix S210 lens error comes on powerup, the lens opens and closes 3 times before error message. The camera is about 11 months old and purchased from the store. What to do now?
Hello, first of all, I like to say that if you have a purchasing warranty card then please replace it. Because the camera lens guide pin is damaged or out of the track. Happens to the Nikon Coolpix S series.
But before that, you can try those and let me know the result.
Careful batteries are fully charged. Look carefully between the lens. Try turning the camera with the lens facing down and shake to dislodge anything stuck. Try removing batteries and memory card wait 5 minutes and refit the battery only. Now turn the camera on and see if working, now fix the memory card and again turn the camera on, if working then fine. Otherwise, format the card and fix it back in the camera again and try. Make sure before format you back up the data. If no luck, then reset or restore the camera setting by pressing Menu key for 2 secs if not done then press both Menu and self-timer for 4 secs.
