This new version of Opera browser is aimed at creating a faster web browsing experience. Usually in other browsers, when we open a page, most of our time is wasted by loading of Ads. These Ads sometimes have programs that are capable of stealing our personal information and hacking our computer. The Opera Browser, by including AD Blocking in it, prevents any advertisement from loading. This in turn increases the speed of the browsing session and also prevents illegal adware from downloading any data and hacking into our computers.

The ad blocking feature in the Opera web browser is designed to block unwanted ads. But unfortunately, this feature is not available on my Opera version because I’m using the latest and very last version of Opera to support Microsoft Windows XP. The Opera web browser support for Microsoft Windows XP is only until version 36.0. Opera 37.0 and the succeeding versions will support Microsoft Windows 7 and higher.

They dropped support for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and earlier versions. The ad blocker feature is supported on Opera 37 and maybe later versions and appears as a traditional ad blocker. Opera 36 and earlier doesn’t have this feature but you can have an ad blocker by using Opera extensions. The best ad blocker extension I’ve used so far is Disconnect.

Disconnect allows you to visualize and block nearly all invisible websites that tracks you once you access a web page. The extension also allows you to load the page 44 percent faster (44%). Disconnect supports Opera 15 and later. If you have Opera, you can download this extension from Disconnect on Opera.

Aside from that, you can use several other ad blocker extensions on the Opera Add-ons Page.
