New format to deal with-software support

Hello,

I have recently come to deal with a new file format and I do not recognize it. I do not have other format available for this either. The format says .djvu and it will not open with my normal applications. So I need to know how to open this kind of file. Where can I get a software free which will open the file?

Yes, you have to download software that can read that. It is pronounced as dejavu. I also have encountered this file extension the first time years back and like you, I also got curious. It’s a new image compression technology developed since 1996 and has been initially released in 1998. This file type is like an alternative to PDF. It is being promoted as alternate because it promises smaller files than PDF. It is a file format that is similar to PDF, designed to store scanned documents like text, photographs and line drawings.
