Network Secure By Learning How To Perform A Network Scan

Hi. To learn how to perform a network scan, first download the Nmap installer from the website of the developer. The Zenmap which is a graphical interface for Nmap can be installed on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X. After the software is downloaded, click on it to begin the installation by following the instructions. Then run the GUI program after it gets installed by clicking on start and then opening Zenmap from the options provided.

Then, to begin the scan, first decide the target by entering the domain name, network or the IP address. Then, choose the profile which suits you best. You can carry out an intense scan, a ping scan, a quick scan or a regular scan on the target selected. After the type of scan is selected, start the scan by clicking on start. After the scan gets finished, you can view the results and have a look at all the specific data.
