Nero is giving me error and won't let me burn my DVD file, whenever I try to burn this 4gb mini movie this error always pops up and I'm not that good when it comes to computer, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Nero Burning ROM

The file "Mountains and Oceans.avi" is larger than 2 GB and therefore cannot be stored in an ISO file system.

Please use the UDF file system to write such large files. This can be done by selecting another compilation type.

Hi there,

Does Nero burn other files or the same error poops whenever you try to burn other things too?

If this error shows only when you want to burn your movie it could mean that the file is a type that Nero does not support, or does not recognize.

Try downloading the same file in another format and burn it.

However, if Nero does not want to burn any file, feel free to reinstall it.

I had the same problem, and a full system re-install solved it.

regards,

Hello Jamin,

In order to burn more than 2 GB at once, you will need to use “DVD-ROM (UDF)”.

The following procedure will help you in doing that:

  • First you will need to click and then lunch Nero StartSmart.
  • After that you will go to the left side of the window and then  click on Nero Burning ROM.
  • Next, you will need to look at the left of the new window, and the scroll down and then click on DVD-ROM (UDF) – which is in the image, at the bottom.
  • Click NEW and then follow the rest of the steps.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Carl
