By default, all web browsers allow cookies or enables cookies because cookies are required for the proper rendering of web pages. But there are times you need to block cookies for security reasons or privacy concerns. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, cookies are enabled by default and there are six levels how you want the cookies set.

  1. First level – this is the top most level in the slider. At this level, all cookies from all websites are blocked.
  2. Second level – at this level, cookies that don’t have compact privacy policy are blocked.
  3. Third level – at this level, third-party cookies that don’t have compact privacy policy are blocked.
  4. Fourth level – this is the default setting. At this level, third-party cookies that don’t have compact privacy policy are also blocked.
  5. Fifth level – at this level, third-party cookies that don’t have compact privacy policy are also blocked.
  6. Sixth level – this is the bottom level in the slider. At this level, cookies from any websites are allowed to be saved.
