Need help with Ubuntu-urgent problem

Hello,

I have recently purchased a Linux Ubuntu operating system, and it has been installed already.

Now I am facing some problems with some of the configurations.

I need someone to give me instructions about its basics features like settings, control panel, security settings, accounts settings and disk maintenance (defragment, clean up).

Please someone give me instructions about the following features.

Hi Lloyd,

Accessing System Settings to change the Theme

On the upper right hand corner of the screen click on the drop down menu and select System Settings.

Then select Appearance. Now a dialog box saying Appearance Preferences opens.

Here you can select the theme you need.

Then close the dialogue box.

To change Date and Time Settings

Go to the upper right hand corner of the screen and right click on the clock.

Here you will see Time and Date Settings, click on it. A dialog box opens. Click on Unlock to change user settings.

Enter your password.

And then you can set your time Manually or Automatically from the internet.

Click on the Clock tab if you need a different appearance and also you can change it to 24 hours if you need.

Above mentioned are two basic settings you can try in Ubuntu.
