I am very much interested in gaming and would like to buy a new gaming laptop. Also, I would like to use Windows 8 and more than 15 inch screen. My budget is around $700.
Can somebody advise which one will be worth and best suitable for gaming? Thanks in advance for your help.
Need help choosing a best gaming laptop
Searching for a gaming laptop that is under 700$ is not going to give you a lot of options. Of course there is the budget gaming laptop, and the real Alienware merchandise that tops anything (but that implies a serious monetary contribution).
Also, there are a few options that are meant for gaming and are also in the 700$ price range (note that the screen size is 15.6 inch for every model presented below):
1. Acer Aspire V5-552-X814 (520$) : the specifications on this laptop are more than enough for today's gaming standards. It has an Intel i7 at 1.8GHz, a NVidia Geforce GT740M (laptop series graphics card); 8 GB DDR3 Memory (more than enough for any application); a 1 TeraByte 5400 RPM Hard Drive (5400 RPM means that it's very silent), a battery life of 5 hours, and a screen resolution of 1366×768 pixels.
2. Asus X550LB-DS71 (770$) : it might be over the budget with about 70$, but you will get a lot of benefits from this. With an AMD A-Series Quad Core A10 at 2.5 GHz (4 MB Cache), an AMD Radeon HD 8650G graphics card capable of runing high demanding graphics while keeping the performance under control; with only 6 GB of DDR3 memory (it can be upgraded to 8 GB whenever needed); a solid 750 GB hard Drive runing at 5400 RPM, and a battery life of 6.7 hours.
These are your best options for a solid, and cheap, gaming laptop. They are both good, and they're both everlasting, meaning these models will never go obsolete because of their capability of being upgraded whenever needed.
