Need a free Mp3 cutter software

So, as my title says, I need a free Mp3 cutter software because I want to make some audio files short.

I basically need this in order to be able to transcribe some files, but also to make ringtones for my smartphone.

Someone told me about Nero, but I don't exactly know how to work with it, so I would prefer another one.

I trust you guys to tell me a good free mp3 cutter software that will do the job.

Hello Gary,

You can download a free MP3 cutter from any of these links;

• Koyote
• Online Audio Cutter
• CNET
• PHP nuke
• Softtonic

For instance, the image below is an MP3 cutter.

After downloading and installing this free MP3 cutter software from CNET, the Free MP3 Cutter icon will appear on your desktop.

Click on it to open.

You can now choose the music you want to cut into ringtone by clicking OPEN MP3…

Click the play button.

Once you get to the section of the music you want to cut, just click MARK START.

When you get to the part of the music where you want it to end, click on MARK END.

Then you can now click on SAVE SELECTION.

It is quite easy. I hope this helps.

• After clicking the download option ,a file (.exe)will be downloaded to your system.
• Double click on that and proceed according to instructions.
• Once the installation completed,open the software
• open the sound file which you want to cut(file > open)
• Set the start and end positions of the sound file and save the cut portion

All the above mentioned soft wares are free to download.You can see the user interface is very simple

If you need to make some audio files shorter, just try installing a converter. Try downloading ImTOO MPEG Encoder. It supports Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. Requires 1 GHz or faster Intel or equivalent AMD processor, 256 MB RAM, 50 MB free space, 16-bit video card, and 800 x 600 minimum screen resolution.

The unregistered version can be downloaded for free but you are limited to five minutes (5) of conversion only. If your file is longer than five minutes, only the first five minutes of the file will be converted. The program allows you to convert audio and video files. Another one is ImTOO Audio Maker. Also try Cool Edit Pro 2.1.

I’ve been using it many years back and until now and it is a great software for audio editing. Unfortunately, the trial version is limited only to the first ten seconds of your track.
