My System Is Showing Error 0199 Security Password Retry Count Error–anybody With Its Solution.

The error occurs if the hard drive password set before from BIOS is mistyped three consecutive times.

The following method is given below to solve this error-

Method 1. Reverting to the default BIOS setting (with SVP key)

If you have corrected the SVP key, you can circumvent the ‘Windows Error 0199 Security Password Retry Count Exceeded’ error by accessing your BIOS setting. Use your SVP key and restore the setting to defaults.

Follow the step given below: –

1. At the starting of the boot sequence, press your Setup key and enter the SVP key.
2. After gaining entry into the BIOS setting, press F9 to restore to default settings. Select Yes and press enter when asked to confirm the procedure.
3. After the setting is restored to defaults, press F10 to save the new setting, exit BIOS and reboot your computer.
4. At the next boot sequence, the error should no longer be occurring, and your device should start normally.
