There are many versions of Google earth some of it needs an internet connection and others do not need. You can watch Google earth without an internet connection at all. But when you are using a version that needs an internet connection make sure that your connection is working properly.

If you have done this make sure you are not adjusted your browser to work offline check this from tools menu.

If you still have the same problem the error may come from the firewall or you protection software you will find useful information on Google help on this link to adjust your firewall.

If you are using Google Earth and you are frequently bugged by the message, “Google Earth is unable to contact login server”, try changing the network setting. This solution works on Macintosh and should also work in Microsoft Windows. On Mac, the solution was to disable “SOCKS Proxy” in network settings.
