Fax Machine won’t work after upgrading to Windows XP

Hey all,

I got a big problem with my fax machine being connected and operating with my computer. First and foremost, this issue started after upgrading from Windows 98 to Windows XP. After that, it will not work. I do not know what I should do to make it running normal again. In addition, I do not want to go back to Windows 98 as I preferred using XP now.

Is there anything I could do to make it running in XP without reinstalling and reformatting? If there are easy steps that I can try, it will be much preferred. Thanks.

Dear this is because a reason and the perfect reason is compatibility purpose; there are many things that work in XP better than Windows 98. Now this problem is may be due driver problem as in 98 the drivers of fax are old and in XP they are updated.

So set up your fax you should include the new drivers, new drivers can be found from the websites, surfing and on internet just tell them the model number they will directly make it repaired or may give you the new one. By applying these setups you will be overcome from this problem and will help you in future. Thanks.

Hi,

You forgot to put the manufacturer and the model of your fax machine, it will be easier to help you if you did that, anyway your problem is simple you have just to update as well the driver of your fax machine you can browse for it through the internet.

I will suggest you 1 of my favorite link when it becomes to the hardware drivers: Driver Guide. Just create a free account and you can browse for your drivers. Hope this can help.
