Hi Brian,

Computer Processor could last in minutes or in just a seconds without fan it will automatically shuts off. Even if you are having a cooler or heatsink in your motherboard.

COMPUTER PROCESSOR CAN'T BE OVERHEATED IT IS DESIGN TO SHUT OFF your computer once the small heat is detected.

Your computer is very noisy it's maybe due to the old fan you have in your computer.

NORMALLY HOW MANY COMPUTER FAN IN THE CPU?

1. PROCESSOR
2. POWER SUPPLY
3. ACCESSORY FAN

Normally, Computer has 2 fans only, you can add additional if you want.
Some add 1 because they use a lot, it is also a sort of protection on their Computer.
There are also disadvantages on having many fans, the more fans the more dust you have in you Computer

SOLUTION:

REPLACE ALL YOUR COMPUTER FANS WITH THE NEW ONE

Don't be bother with the stopping of your processors, it will really stopping if there is no fan installed.

I suggest to install a new 1 to make it solve.

Thanks,

If the noise is coming from your fan then you need to replace it with a new one. But you need to see that there is some other reason also available in this case. So that you can solve that problem also.

If you are sure about it that the sound is coming from fan then you need to remove that fan make it clean and then put it back to your system.

I hope that your problem will be recovered. If you are using a heavy processor then this can also cause this problem and the fan will be definitely of that capacity. you can not remove that fan because the system will be halt if you are going to do that.

The easy solution for your problem is that you can put your CPU at a different location may be behind your table or some where else where you can not hear the sound easily.

There are different plans to manage your computer space also. Put it on a side or some where else so that you are easy with your problem.
