I have Russian client that needs codec for mac which is in his native language. He said that this will help him understand well how he could compress or decompress audio and video files. So I am trying to look for russian codec for mac computer to help him. Your opinion will be highly appreciated.

Which provides help and downloadable links for various codes, old and new. It even has a section for multiple international languages, so most likely it's a good place to search for Russian codecs. The downloadable codecs there has support for different platforms, like PC, Windows, and Mac. Hope this will help your Russian friend.
If you are looking for a codec that is designed for Russians only or is in the Russian language, I’m not sure if you can find one because a codec is normally written in a standard format for general use.
