My client need russian codec for Mac pc

I have Russian client that needs codec for mac which is in his native language. He said that this will help him understand well how he could compress or decompress audio and video files. So I am trying to look for russian codec for mac computer to help him. Your opinion will be highly appreciated.

Looking for Russian codecs that will work on the mac is a bit tricky. I came across this site:

Which provides help and downloadable links for various codes, old and new. It even has a section for multiple international languages, so most likely it's a good place to search for Russian codecs. The downloadable codecs there has support for different platforms, like PC, Windows, and Mac. Hope this will help your Russian friend.

If you are looking for a codec that is designed for Russians only or is in the Russian language, I’m not sure if you can find one because a codec is normally written in a standard format for general use.

If you want to convert audios and videos that can easily be done or understood in Russian, just change the language used in the application to Russian if it is available. Try downloading Format Factory. The latest version at the moment supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. If you’re on Mac, try ImTOO Video Converter for Mac.

The latest version at the moment supports OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks, 10.10 Yosemite, 10.11 El Capitan, 10.12 Sierra, 10.13 High Sierra, and 10.14 Mojave. It requires Intel processor, 512 MB RAM, 60 MB free space, 800 x 600 minimum screen resolution, and 16-bit video card with OpenGL 1.4 support or higher.
