Hello,

I just want to ask, why is it that when I'm updating multiple applications from my iPhone at once, this error suddenly pops out?

I got 150 applications downloaded from iTunes and have 80 updates available. When I chose to update all 80 applications, this error came out and my applications freeze!

We could not complete you iTunes Store request.

An unknown error occurred (414).

There was an error in the iTunes Store.  Please try again later.

Can you help me? Thanks

Hello Chloe,

I had this same problem with my iPhone a few months back and  I think it was because one of my apps was no longer available in the app store.

This error also occurs due to apps like eBay, Dance Revolution, You or any app that is rated 17+.

You can fix this error by either updating the apps one by one OR If you have the above mentioned apps, first update them manually and then do a bulk update.

I hope it fixes your problem.

Best regards.

In iTunes, you may receive error code “414” when you update multiple applications at the same time. Most of the users who have been affected by this issue are updating 20 applications and up. The error is related to the “mature content” warning that Apple uses on their apps with a 17+ rating.

The “mature content” warning states “IMPORTANT: This product contains material that may be objectionable to children under 17. By proceeding, you are confirming that you are 17 or older”. The solution to avoid seeing error code “414” is, if you have 17+ rated apps, you need to download them one at a time and save all your other apps for a mass download.

It would also be helpful if you download your updates for your applications as early as possible before too many build up on your queue.
