Hello,
I have checked on the Intel website and my CPU supports SSE 3 and this error still appears. I don’t know why but I found on a website that I have to update my entire PC drivers. I did so and I didn’t get rid of this error. Can anyone help me please to fix this error ? What could be the problem ?

Mudbox requires a CPU that supports SSE3
Hello,
Are you running Mudbox under virtual machine? If not then uninstall Mudbox, after deleting preferences, reinstall Mudbox again. Ensure that the file used for installation is not corrupt. If it doesn’t help you, I doubt if you are using very old CPU, or pirated software / drivers installed in your system. That’s why application is demanding for the hardware certifications. If yes, you can download MudBox /Maya for non-commercial, educational purpose, you can download it from Autodesk website<<education<< free software<<Mudbox or you can use this direct link:

If you are still uncertain about your CPU if it really supports the SSE3 instruction set even though you already checked it on the Intel website, try using CPU-Z so you can verify yourself if your processor supports SSE3. Download and install CPU-Z 1.70. After installing it, run CPU-Z to know what is supported by your processor. See image.
Under CPU tab, there is a field labeled “Instructions”. This field lists the supported instruction sets of your processor. If you see SSE3 among the items listed in the Instructions field then this verifies that your CPU supports the SSE3 instruction set. But if you don’t see it or it doesn’t list SSE3 like in the image below then your processor doesn’t support SSE3. See image.
The second image shows the specifications of my old Pentium 4 processor and it shows that it doesn’t support SSE3 and only supports until SSE2 instruction set. SSE3 is the short term for Streaming SIMD Extensions 3 which also has the Intel code name Prescott New Instructions or PNI.
