Hi guys! Whilst  installing the K–Lite Codec pack  version 9.0.0 Full or K Lite Code c Pack version 9.0.0 Mega in the Windows XP SP3 x 86 platform

Error

Runtime Error(at 110:275):

Internal error: Cannot access 64-bit register key on this version of Windows.

A runtime error at 110:275 appears. There seemed to be an internal error as I cannot use the 64 bit register key using Windows XP SP3 × 86

Please help me solve this problem quickly!

Greetings,

It's unfortunate that you ran into problems while installing K-Lite Codec Pack. It seems you are installing the codec on a 32-bit copy of windows, hence the error. You need to install the 32-bit version of that codec pack.

If the first suggestion did not work, I'd recommend installing version 9.0.2 or a later version instead.

You can download them here.

Hi there Walter W Pilon,

The reason you're getting the error is because you are trying to install the wrong version of the K-Lite Codec pack. You are running  32-bit Windows and the K-Lite Codec pack you re trying to use is for 64-bit Windows.

The solution is quite simple – visit one of the free codec sites, like http://www.free-codecs.com//www.free-codecs.com/download/k_lite_codec_pack.htm, download the right version of the codec pack and start the installation again.

Best regards,
