What's wrong with my MS office, it is always lagging and delayed. Is there something wrong with my computer or the Ms office file? But when I use different applications, my computer's performance is good.

Hi there,

If you are using the latest Microsoft office package 2007 or 2010 respectively then its clear that its not the MS office issue. It's your PC issue.

3 Components are the important things for the Top working on High End applications like this:-

1. Processor speed.

2. Memory (RAM).

3. Graphics memory and speed.

Since the latest version of MS office graphically improved and has the capacity to use the Graphic card to improve its performance.

I suggest upgrade of your RAM.

Identify your RAM, DDR1 or DDR2 or DDR3 and then buy a ram 2 GB or 4 GB unit preferred. Then install it.

This will give your PC a speed boost and will run your MS office faster.

I don’t think the problem is with the file because in the first place, it is only a file that is loaded into a program. It is not an application that the computer executes and occupies space in the memory. If your computer’s performance suddenly declines every time you use Microsoft Office, you should review your edition’s system requirements.

Reviewing your product’s system specifications will help you assess if you need to upgrade your memory or probably require a much faster processor. One example is Microsoft Office 2013. It supports Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 both 32-bit and 64-bit. For servers, it supports Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, and Windows Server 2012 R2 64-bit only.

It requires 1 GHz or faster processor with SSE2 support, 1 GB RAM for 32-bit and 2 GB RAM for 64-bit, 3 GB free hard drive space, 1024 x 576 screen resolution, and Microsoft DirectX 10-compatible video card. This version of Microsoft Office requires a bit higher memory. It is fine if you only have 1 GB RAM but expect a much slower performance.

To improve the performance, upgrade the memory of your computer by adding more RAM.
