Microsoft Visio Professional 2013 setup errors

Hello folks,

I had previously Microsoft Visio Professional 2013 in the computer it was good. When I try to update to Microsoft Visio Standard 2013 I ended up with an error message. It failed to setup throwing me an error message. But I uninstalled the old version before the new one. I tried to reinstall it several times but nothing worked. Really I am in help, Thanks in advance.

Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s):

Microsoft Visio Standard 2013 may not be installed with Microsoft Visio Professional 2013.

Correct the issue(s) listed above and re-run setup.

Microsoft Visio Professional 2013 setup errors

I suggest you to do the following. Visio shares files with Ms-office suit. First install your old version of Visio once again (Professional 2013). On completion restart the system and again open it in safe mode (In order to open in safe mode press F8 repeatedly during computer start up). This time check the Visio professional installation and whether it is working fine or not. Assuming that it is working fine, close the application and un-install the same from control panel Add/Remove program section. Post successful un-installation re-starts the system and login to windows normally. Try installing the standard 2013 version. It should work now.
