Microsoft Project Standard 2010 Software Protection Platform error encountered. 

During installation of Microsoft Project Standard 2010, I have encountered the following error:

 

Microsoft Project Standard 2010

 

Installation Progress

 

Error 1920. Service 'Office Software Protection Platform' (osppsvc) failed to

start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

                                                                     Retry     Cancel

I don’t know what the installer means by stating that platform cannot be started or failed to start. What I need to know is how to install my Microsoft Project Standard 2010? I know you techyv people know about this. I am very confident somebody here will give the solution for this.

Microsoft Project Standard 2010 Software Protection Platform error encountered.

Hi!

Installation process error means you are trying to install a version of Microsoft office which is not a full version. Full version of Microsoft Windows does not create this type of problem. Try to collect a DVD of Microsoft office 2010 and install it from there because it has the full version of Microsoft office 2010.

The other way is to install office 2007 or 2011. I know these versions well. They are similar like 2011 and they will not create this type of problem. If you have any virus then remove it first. There is another reason where may be your computer is corrupted with some virus. So you need to use an updated Antivirus and the scan full computer.

After you have done with it the other option is go to start then run then type “msconfig” and press enter.

Then click on services tab and stop all Microsoft related services and try to install now.
