Hello TechyV buddies!

I am having some problem regarding Microsoft Excel 2010. I have installed Microsoft office 2010 and started using excel. However, right just before it opens an error appears. The error is this: “Compile error in hidden module: AutoExecNew”. And another error appears when I exit excel. The error is this: “Compile error in hidden module: DistMon”. Can anyone help me solve this problem on Excel? I am using home vista and MS Office 2010. I will really appreciate the effort in solving this problem. Thank you!

When the user starts a program that is listed in the 'Applies to' section, the above errors will be received. The reason for this is that maybe the MS Excel Startup folder has Adobe Acrobat PDFMaker add-in template files such as Pdfmaker.dot or Pdfmaker.xla. Or possibly this is because of the Norton Antivirus that is installed on your PC. To fix this, try to download the latest version of Adoe Acrobat in www.adobe.com. Or move the Pdfmaker.dot file or Pdfmaker.xla file from the Excel Startup folder to a different folder on your computer (E.g. My Documents folder). If you cannot find the pdfmaker.dot or pdfmaker.xla, try searching on the search box after clicking on the Start button. But normally pdfmaker.dot is located in C:Documents and SettingsUser NameApplication DataMicrosoftWordStartup or C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice10Startup and the pdfmaker.xla is located in  C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice10Xlstart or C:Documents and SettingsUser NameApplication DataMicrosoftExcelXlstart. Just right-click the file and then click Cut and paste it on other folder.

Dear User,

This problem could occur when the Microsoft startup folder  or the excel startup folder  contains the following,

Pdfmaker.dot

Pdfmaker.xla

Also it could conflict with Norton Antivirus Program,

To fix this,

Download the Latest version of ADD In for adobe Acrobat

Also you can try moving the files, you can try moving above mentioned two files to another folder if they are there

Also try uninstalling your Norton Antivirus Program if you have any,

Thank you
