An RPT file (.rpt) is a kind of report file created by Crystal Reports and intended to be used with Microsoft Visual Basic. It can be opened using Microsoft Visual Studio or SAP Crystal Reports and may contain information from many different database sources. If you have an RPT file and you need to convert it into PDF, here’s one way.

First, you need to convert it into XPS format using the Microsoft XPS Document Writer included in Microsoft Windows. Open your RPT file with the program you normally use like Microsoft Visual Studio. Once the file is opened, click “File” then “Print” or just press CTRL + P. On the next screen, select “Microsoft XPS Document Writer” as your printer then click “OK” or “Print.”
