I kept on trying to install this update that I got as a notification. But when I tried installing, it was showing me the windowsupdate_c0000135 error code and was showing me that sqmapi.dll file was missing. Help me, please.
Run the system file checker to replace the incorrect version of the files.
To run the System File Checker:
• Go to CMD and run the program as administrator.
• Enter the following command and press enter the command:
– Scf/scannow.
This code would run the scan for a while and will replace all the incorrect files and fix them.
Sometimes it may prompt you to insert your windows installer CD in the mid-way of the installation process. So you must have a drive that consists of the windows installer.
After this process, you can install the update.
