Mailing Mac lotus notes 8.5 documents Problem

Hello there.

Can you please help me.

Some user are using “Mac lotus notes 8.5” or 7, and send out attachment documents to “yahoo/gmail” a xls or doc files,
the “yahoo/gmail” says “it is virus Can’t open”.

If the same file send from “XP client 7” or 8, there's no problem.

What should i do or change the setup in Mac to make it okay?

Mailing Mac lotus notes 8.5 documents Problem

More  particularly ,  this is usually a client problem, where the client is using Bin Hex encoding for attachments in its place of using set Base64 ( which is called Apple Double in the Mac  World)

Check your clients setting:

Location Document > advanced > mime settings > outbound Mac attachment conversion.

If your problem isn’t solve try to another way

Confirm what your option you set for lotus or Mac attachment

Check your server setting:

Server configuration > Mime > Advanced > Advanced Outbound Message Options > Macintosh attachment conversion.
