Lubuntu OS isn’t booting up properly

I replaced my Windows OS with the Lubuntu distro. Lubunto does not always boot up completely. When it tries to boot, it only shows a white thick line across the bottom instead of displaying icons for the desktop, the browser etc. at the bottom of the screen. Does anyone know what's happening and how can I correct the problem?

Hello,

Lubuntu is the laptop edition of Ubuntu, based on Ubuntu. In order to get your problem fixed, you have to make sure that installation has gone right.

First of all, I suggest to install the latest Lubuntu, retrieved from their official page. Download Lubuntu. Create a bootable USB for installing the Linux. You can use UNetbootin for this purpose. Boot into the USB, remove the older installation drive where old Lubuntu is installed. Remove the partitions, create new partitions and install Lubuntu. Learn how to install Lubuntu.

Also, make sure that Windows installation isn’t present on your system which might be conflicting with Linux. Learn how to uninstall Windows.
