Looking for alternatives for windows office suite

I am currently looking into alternatives to windows office. I have already used open office and I am very disappointed in it. Can anyone recommend me any other software that can be a replacement to the office package? One vital criteria is that there must exist a compatibility in terms of format across the program and office suite

Microsoft has arguably dominated the market on document creation, formatting and editing/manipulation. Its exceptional user interface and reliability gives it an edge over the rest. However, there are other alternatives to Microsoft Office whose services match or even beats those offered by the Office.
