Logitech K750 Solar Keyboard eco-friendly feature

Logitech introduced Logitech K750 Solar Keyboard for Mac users. Considering that this is a solar keyboard, would its functionality be affected without actual sun exposure? Is there a backup energy source once the solar energy maintaining its function would be depleted?

Logitech K750 Solar Keyboard eco-friendly feature

This new type of keyboard, powered by solar energy has a backup battery that can keep up to 3 months in total darkness so you won't have any problems with that. It is good to know that it also charges from indoor light so you won't have problems when there isn't sunlight. This keyboard is very comfortable for your hands and makes typing a pleasure. It has a long range wireless connection so you can use it from the couch and the quality of the signal eliminates delays or other interference. 

Some say that the price is a little high, but the wireless and battery charging technologies worth all the money, to be precise 80$.

Logitech K750 Solar Keyboard eco-friendly feature

Its functionality is not effected without direct exposure to sunlight. It charges itself from sunlight and room light (even lamp light). Once it is charged completely it works just like our ordinary keyboards (powered through CPU). On single complete charge it can work for 3months in complete darkness. The K750 keyboard for Mac, iPad and iPhone is supported on Macintosh 10.5+ and not on Windows, UNIX or Linux operating systems. It also gives a feature with the help of which, with One Button, 

You Can Switch between typing on three Apple Devices. It’s a simple software utility tells you everything you need to know to keep your keyboard charged and ready. There is no battery backup except of its reserved solar charging.
