Light Scribe Engine communication error

Hi there,

I have restarted my PC and tried the label again and is not working at all. I don’t know what to do anymore since the reinstall is not working. Any solution for this error ? How can I solve this please ?

Light Scribe Engine communication error

Maybe there is only a slight problem when the operation started. Try restarting the computer and try LightScribe again. See if it works. If it doesn’t and the same error appeared, there is probably a problem in the connection of the optical drive. Shut down your computer then unplug it from the AC outlet. Open the CPU case then check the cables attached at the optical drive.

Disconnect the power supply cable and the ribbon cable from the optical drive. Check the jumper settings of the optical drive if it is properly configured. If your computer has only one optical drive and one hard drive, the jumper pin should be configured to Master. If you have two hard drives and the second hard drive is the Secondary Master, your optical drive should be set to Slave or as Secondary Slave.

Once the jumper pin is set correctly, reconnect the ribbon cable and the power supply cable to the optical drive and plug the computer to the AC outlet. Start your computer and try LightScribe again. See if it works.
