I am trying to configure the iscsi target windows 2008 on my device, but I have no clue how to perform that.
Can someone, please help in configuring the iscsi target on my computer?
Learn To Configure Iscsi Target Windows 2008 In Detail.
On following these steps, you would be able to configure iSCSI targets and LUNs from your server.
You must know that Windows 2008 R2 doesnot support iSCSI targets. You would have to download a Microsoft package.
After you finish the download, just uncompress the .exe file and open the folder x64.
After that, launch iscsitarget_public.msi.
When you complete the installation, just right-click MyComputer icon and after that, click Manage.
Next, expand Storage menu. You will observe the new iSCSI software target listed. Click “iSCSI targets” in the window and then press the right button. Select Create iSCSI target as shown in the below image.
Then, a wizard will start. Just follow the instructions and also specify the name of the iscsi targets.
After that, specify the initiators who are allowed to connect to your target. You can also specify an IP, a MAC address, a domain name or an iSCSI name.
Then, the configuration is over. Now, the next step is just to create a virtual disk (LUN).
