Hi. In the case of a severe Microsoft XP Professional boot problem, it is best to resort to System Restore. If you have the Windows XP bootable CD-ROM with you, it provides a Recovery Console for a hard system restore. Follow these steps to activate the Recovery Console:

  1. Insert the bootable CD-ROM into the appropriate drive.
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reboot your PC.
  3. Your PC will begin the process. Once you see the Setup blue screen, press R to start the process.
  4. You will see a menu appear. It asks you to choose the OS you are considering to work from, i.e. Win XP.
  5. Press the menu number associated with the OS, and enter Admin’s password. Type EXIT on the screen to restart your PC.

If nothing helps, you should contact your authorized dealer regarding a malfunctioning OS, and get it exchanged or repaired.
