The Latest version of Linux
Good day!
I knew what Linux is but I'm just using its older versions.
Could anyone tell me what is the latest Linux version today?
Thank you.

Hello Megriggs,
Already you have known that what the Linux is. So I am not telling elaborately. I am telling briefly that, Linux is a very much popular and user friendly operating system that will give you more security and will give you more opportunities to use many applications on your desktop computer.
You need to know which the latest version of this popular software is. Actually the software is being updated frequently so it can’t be said that which software the latest version is. Not only that the Linux has different kind of software.
So you have to identify which one you will use although every type will give you some unique facilities. However, I got the news that “Fedora Linux 17” was released recently. So you can use the version because many features have been included in the version that will give you the most customized facilities.
Thanks.
I’m not really a fan of Linux though I am thinking of trying it out one day just to have a feel of it. But if you are using an older version, you may want to upgrade to a newer distribution or it would be great to just upgrade to the latest version.
If you are using Linux Ubuntu, you may try Ubuntu 12.04 LTS that has an extended support. It is a long-term support edition which has a constant hardware support enhancements. You are also assured to have security and support updates that will last until April 2017. On the other hand, if you want the distribution with the latest features, you can try Ubuntu 13.10.
Though it has the latest features of Linux Ubuntu, it will only be supported for 9 months. It has advanced new features that will make it easier for you to access your music, documents, videos, and applications. You can download any of these distributions from Download Ubuntu Desktop. You can also see there the instructions on how to install them.
Make sure to select between 32-bit and 64-bit versions. For users running Linux Mint distribution, you can try Linux Mint 15 Olivia from Download Linux Mint 15 Olivia. It is supported until January 2014. Linux Mint Debian is another variety based on Debian Testing. Just check the page out for Linux Mint 15 Olivia and Linux Mint Debian.
