Laptop parts to buy Toshiba laptop

Hello,

I am from Mauritius and I got some major issues with my Toshiba laptop. The laptop just kept on heating up till it switches down due to overheating. This problem has annoyed me lots and I took the correct screwdriver to open the laptop casing to see what wrong inside is. Obviously the cooling system has to have stopped working. But I still hear the sound of fans running before opening the casing.

 

Then I discovered that the cooling system inside is made up of 3 fans. They are interlinked in such a way to evacuate the heat through the main fan which has got an opening in the casing and acts as an extractor. Thing is that this main fan is faulty. I unscrewed it and went for a new one in the local shops here but nothing to be found!

 

Please someone guide me to finding a correct and easy way to purchase that online. I heard that it can be found online. I anyone comes across, please let me know. I uploaded the pictures of the fan.

Good day! Mauritius,

 

I read your problem and yes! Going over to the local shops is the right thing to do. However, if you still cannot find the spare parts, then you have to go to the store specializing on Toshiba laptops.

 

If they have Toshiba Service Center or of that sort, then the better. I am recommending you this because it's better buying from the store near your geographic location because you can purchase and attain the item right away (provided that it is available).

 

Buying it from there is better than buying online because it's much faster compared to online purchasing which will take up several days. If you really cannot buy it from your location, then the next thing to do is buy online.

 

One advantage buying from online is that there are items currently not present in your location are available to purchase. You can try Amazon or here or here.

Most computer components of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) computers have custom made computer components that fit only on their machines and many of these components, like the heat sink and fan assembly, can only be purchased from the manufacturer; in your case that would be Toshiba.

You can go check out eBay and see if they have any used Toshiba fans for sale that is for your computer model. You can buy it from there but if you would like a buy a brand new fan, you may have a hard time finding one. You can also check out Newegg, that is an online store with lots of computer stuff.
