I tried installing Kodak ESP 725o network printer on Windows 8 Consumer Preview. The setup software detected the printer but this error appeared. I tried uninstalling it and restarted my computer and installed it back, it still happens. What do I do now?

There may be a compatibility issue with the Kodak printer installer and your operating system. Windows 8 consumer preview does not support some of the software that is supported by Windows 7. Try to search in its official website for Windows 8 compatible software.

Hi,
It seems like you are facing this problem due to compatibility issue. So try running in Window 7 Compatibility mode. Required steps are:

Find utility setup in start menu.

Right click and select ‘open file location’
-
Right click the exe file to choose properties.
-
Now click on Compatibility tab and set window 7.
-
Finally try to run the setup again and hopefully it will install.
