Hey there! You can try resetting your Philips GoGear mp3 player 4gb. To do a soft reset, locate the reset button on your device (usually placed in a pinhole at the back) and press it with a pointed object like a pen until it shuts down. This action does not corrupt or erase data stored in your player.

In case this does not help, download the installer for Philips songbird from the web and install it on your PC. Launch the program. Connect your device to the PC via the USB provided with the mp3 player. Select TOOLS -> REPAIR MY PHILIPS DEVICE. Select your device model and click “Continue”. Disconnect the device. Now, reconnect the player to the PC holding the “volume up” key and release when connected. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the process of resetting.
