Keyboard multiple character issue: printing characters along with numbers

Hi, I have this very serious issue with the keyboard of my laptop (Acer Ac700-1099 with windows xp). when i hit the number keys it also prints the character along with it, like say when i hit 6 it shows 6c, when i hit 9 it shows 9v and so on. I have tried reinstalling the OS too but it Didn't solve the problem. The possible cause is that some one may have dropped liquid on it. Please help me with an economical solution. Thanks in advance.

Keyboard multiple character issue: printing characters along with numbers

It seems your laptop’s keyboard is damaged because of liquid poured on it, it called short circuit. You must try plugging USB keyboard if it is working fine with that external USB keyboard, then you must get your laptop’s keyboard changed. You can go to laptop’s manufacturer’s service center nearby and ask for changing keyboard or you can find any other relevant service center of laptops. Moreover if you don’t want to change your laptop’s keyboard you can use external keyboard for time being, or there is another option you can use to minimize your problem temporarily, you can use on-screen keyboard. Finally you’ll have to change it.
