ITunes iPhone could not be restored

I updated my iPhone 4 to the iOS 5 beta, but since I do not have a developer account, I could not sync my songs to my device.

I decided to restore it to iOS 4.3.3 but whenever I try to do so, I keep on getting this message. "The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1013)."

I really would like to have it restored, also because I cannot make calls and receive text messages as it is still under development.

The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1013).

ITunes iPhone could not be restored

Dear Brian Adam,

This happens because, the firmware installation process is not perfect.  It is why usually the restore process stops in the middle of the road or even can not be done at all.  iPhone cannot connect to iTunes iPhone or the PC, because you do not have the firmware installed in it.

The main cause of your problem may be due to the firmware you have installed, is still in beta or could be the firmware file that is installed is corrupted, or the firmware file is not compatible with your iPhone.

The solution is:

  • Download the file that is compatible with your iPhone, and make sure your firmware fileshare is not corrupted.
  • Make sure that your iPhone is connected properly, and use the original apple data cable.
  • Do not play the iPhone, when running a restore process, so as not to disturb the smoothness of the restore process

Good luck.
