Wondering if it could be possible to install 2 different OS in Iphone 4s – iOS 5 and UBuntu? I know Ubuntu is supported and I would like to run linux also? TY for any help or advice…

The Ubuntu will be mainly used for data sync for IPhone under Linux OS. Data from the iPhone to sync consists mainly of photos, music and videos, as well as contacts and calendar events. In Mac OS and Windows, we can use iTunes to synchronize these elements with the system software. ITunes software is not available on Linux, three options are available to iPhone owners:
1. Using Lucid Lynx 10.04 LTS (native support)
2. A little work (not hard) in Karmic (and earlier?)
3. Using iTunes in virtualized machines and synchronization of data with the virtual machine.
This solution requires the use of proprietary software in the virtual machine.
