It Displays 0xc004f012 Error While Activating Windows OS, Refers To The Solution To The Problem

The pop-up message for the 0xc004f012 error displays two messages: ‘Windows can’t activate right now. Try activating again later. If that doesn’t work, contact support. Error code: 0xc004f012’ and ‘The Software Licensing Service reported that the call has failed because the value for the input key was not found.’

In both of the cases, the solution of the error code is to rebuild the Token.dat or Activation Token file on the system. The steps to rebuild the Activation Token file are as follows:

Step 1: Go to the directed location: C:\Windows\System32\SPP\Store\2.0.
Step 2: Rename the ‘tokens.dat’ file to the ‘token.old’ file and close the terminal.
Step 3: Open the command prompt as an administrator and run the following command:
• net start sppsvc
• cscript.exe slmgr.vbs /rilc
Wait for the command to execute, then restart the computer.
Step 4: Now, go to Settings > Activation and run the ‘Activation Troubleshooter.’

This should solve the problem.
