I received an email today in response to my query for a service website. I saw that the link was something like https goo gl pqrbew. Since I have never seen a link like this, I got suspicious and did not open it. Is it a genuine link?

Is Https Goo Gl Pqrbew A Genuine Link

A lot of people when they see a link containing goo.gl for the first time get suspicious. To your relief, I am happy to inform you that this is indeed a genuine link. goo.gl is a URL shortening service that was provided by Google.

I must inform you that Google ended this service in April 2018. Google said that since the inception of the service, the internet and the web has changed a lot. Not only have other URL shorteners have gained popularity, but also, Google is trying to push it’s Firebase Dynamic Links. No new user will be able to create shortened links using the goo.gl service but older users will continue to have access.
